YOU CAN’T FUEL ALL OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME By Ann Coulter

Liberals dismiss studies that show a link between abortion and breast cancer, claiming they are biased because the people promoting the studies are “anti-choice.”

For the same reason, no one should believe the Democrats’ “energy” policies.

Democrats couldn’t care less about high gas prices. The consistent policy of the Democratic Party, going back at least to Jimmy Carter, has been to jack up gas prices so we can all start pedaling around on tricycles.

Environmentalists are constantly clamoring for higher gas taxes as the cure-all to their insane global warming theory. Clinton proposed a 26-cent tax on gas. John Kerry said it should be 50 cents. Gore endorsed the Malthusian proposal of Paul and Anne Ehrlich in “The Population Explosion” that gas taxes be raised gradually to match prices in Europe and Japan. ………….

Jr Senator Obama and the military a must read!!!!!!

This is an uninterrupted 51-second video of Obama speaking; he’s telling us exactly what he will do to the military…watch it before this too is removed off the web site.

http ://www.macsmind.com/wordpress/2008/02/27/obama-plans-to-disarm-america

This is absolutely shocking & reprehensible. He plans to unilaterally disarm our nation. The question is… for what? And more specifically, for whom ?!!!!!!!!

The Jr. Senator’s idea of fixing the economy just the tip of the iceberg

Jessi writes………

So Jr Senator Barack Obama has grand ideas for fixing the economy. Hmm lets take a look.

Lets first look at taxes. First he wants a windfall tax on oil companies. Yeah that will work, lets raise the price of gas for this tax, (see Windfall tax for oil companies

Post June 14th). Next he wants to raise the capital gains tax to 20%, which has been proven to bring in less tax money not more. Also would like to lower the child tax credit down to $500 from the current law of $1000. In addition in the tax area, is the dividends tax rate which is currently 15% and he wants to raise this to 39.6%. And don’t get me started on the income tax rate which he also has plans on raising-more info later in its own post with more details.

Also in his grand scheme of things he would like not to drill for oil in our own country even after other countries have done the same thing such as Brazil, Norway, France, and Venezuela. Most of America believe that we should “drill here, drill now”. Holding out just makes matters worse. Just the thought of us drilling just a few days ago lowered the barrel. His other stance on this issue is for America to lessen demand. I am sorry but I need to go to work, I need to go to the grocery store, and other places that are important in my life. I like my heat in winter. I like been able to sleep in the summer with my air conditioning. And mandating car manufactures may or may not help the situation in any real value.

Another idea of his is to cut our military and get out of Iraq. Now there is a great idea! Lets lose our nations security and open our self up for another attack. We need our military and we need to be in Iraq fighting for our great nations security against terrorism

Cartoon of the Day

Jessi notes…….

Voted against banning partial birth abortion

Obama’s record in Illinois represents that of a pragmatic progressive, who pushed for moderate reforms and opposed right-wing legislation. In the IL legislature, voting “present” is the equivalent of voting “no” because a majority of “yes” votes are required for passage. Many IL legislators use the “present” vote as an evasion on an unpopular choice, so that they can avoid being targeted for voting “no.” During the 2004 Democratic primary, an opponent mocked Obama’s “present” vote on abortion bills with flyers portraying a rubber duck and the words, “He ducked!”.

In 1997, Obama voted against SB 230, which would have turned doctors into felons by banning so-called partial-birth abortion, & against a 2000 bill banning state funding. Although these bills included an exception to save the life of the mother, they didn’t include anything about abortions necessary to protect the health of the mother. The legislation defined a fetus as a person, & could have criminalized virtually all abortion.

Obama Bows to Muslim Demands by Austin Hill

Barack Obama succumbed to Muslim demands.

It started at a campaign event that Obama held last Monday, at Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena. There have been very few news reports about this matter, but they all seem to point to a consistent turn of events.

Before the event kicked-off, a campaign staffer (who apparently was female and black, should anybody care) approached two young men in the crowd and asked if they’d like to sit up on the platform, and appear behind Obama while he was speaking from the podium.

As the two guys accepted the invitation, one of them asked the campaign staffer if he could bring his “friends” along. The staffer then began inquiring about the friends - - what do the friends look like, how are the friends dressed, and so forth. And when it became apparent that the friends were women with traditional, Muslim-looking head coverings, the staffer said “no” to the request……………

What the heck is this???????

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., speaks during a meeting of Democratic Governors at the Chicago History Museum in Chicago Friday, June 20, 2008. A new seal debuted on Obama’s podium Friday, sporting iconography used in the U.S. presidential seal, the blue background, the eagle clutching arrows on left and olive branch on right, but with symbolic differences. Instead of the Latin ‘E pluribus unum’ (Out of many, one), Obama’s says ‘Vero possumus’, rough Latin for ‘Yes, we can.’ Instead of ‘Seal of the President of the United States’, Obama’s Web site address is listed. And instead of a shield, Obama’s eagle wears his ‘O’ campaign logo with a rising sun representing hope ahead.(AP Photo/Alex Brandon)

Isn’t Barack just another politician? by Jessi Olson

Jr. Senator Barack Obama said today that he would opt out of the federal public financing system. Now the average person does not know the ins and outs of this system. And the Jr Senator would like you to believe that he now feels that the system is “broken and we face opponents who’ve become masters at gaming this broken system.” This is after an earlier statement in where he said that he would “aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election.”

The public financing system is paid for with optional $3 contributions that taxpayers can make on there tax returns. Now what most probably don’t know is that when a candidate accepts these funds they are bound to an $84 million spending limit.

So what does this say when the Jr Senator does want to accept these funds and is backing away from his earlier comments? I pose this question to you. Is he setting himself up with a huge cash advantage over McCain? If so what happen to fair game? And how is this Change? How is tipping the scales in your favor changing how politicians are seen by the American public?

Having worked with WI Sen. Russ Feingold on an ethics and lobbying reform bill last year even Russ felt the decision was a “mistake”. Also Democracy 21 a non profit group that focuses on the influences of money in politics said in their statement that his decision was “very disappointed”.

Republican Party of Wisconsin Executive Director Mark Jefferson issued the following statement today:

“Deciding to break his promise to take public financing for the general election, Barack Obama is showing Wisconsin voters that his “change” message is nothing but false rhetoric to win votes. Obama doesn’t represent a new brand of politics as he promises, he’s just another opportunistic politician who raised more money than he expected.”

So again what is this really saying about the Jr Senator who wants to be president? Typical politician or someone for change?

Liberal Smear Campaign Hits Wisconsin

MADISON – Republican Party of Wisconsin Spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski issued the following statement regarding the latest advertisement to air in Wisconsin Wednesday, from MoveOn.org and AFSCME:

“After making it clear he doesn’t have the judgment to be Commander-in-Chief, Obama is now relying on liberal hack groups like MoveOn.org to smear Senator McCain’s record. Obama should give Wisconsin voters more credit – we know the difference between his rhetoric and McCain’s proven leadership.”

Obama has had a series of recent foreign policy gaffes including his promise to meet with fanatical leaders like Iran’s Ahmadinejad while he refuses to meet with General Petraeus and hasn’t set foot in Iraq in over two years.

The MoveOn/AFSCME ad has been called “A Cheap Shot,” “Shrill,” and “Borderline Shameless” already this morning.

* Mika Brzezinksi: ”Well, I’m just wondering what you think about the use of the 100 years, because I just feel like at this point it looks like a cheap shot. That line has almost been practically revoked by John McCain or at least clarified.” (MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” 6/17/08)

* John Ridley: ”The ad does feel in some ways shrill as opposed to touching me as a father and reminding me of my kids.” (MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” 6/17/08)

* Chuck Todd: ”I think that was a borderline shameless ad, using a baby like that…Stuff like that, that’s an ad that strikes me as one that’s going to backfire a lot, not a little.” (MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” 6/17/08)

Why I’m Voting Democrat By Ben Shapiro

A new video on YouTube is taking the Internet by storm. Entitled “I’m Voting Republican,” the satirical clip depicts actors playing conservative Americans of all shapes and sizes explaining why they would vote for the GOP.

“Arnold Jones” says he’s voting Republican because “all other countries are inferior to us” — and his wife, “Trudy Jones,” adds, “and we should start as many wars as we need to keep it that way.” A soldier in Iraq states that he’s voting Republican “so I can stay in Iraq” — and a young boy, labeled “future draftee,” points a fake gun at the camera and smiles while saying “so I can go to Iran!”

A black couple says they’re voting Republican because they “like a conservative majority on the Supreme Court,” with the wife noting, “we really like knowing that even if we’re separate, we’ll still be called equal.”

This insulting nonsense is precisely what liberals think of conservatives: We’re all warmongers, racists, environmental rapists and secret emissaries of big corporations. We’re going to reinstitute the draft, start a war with Canada and then relocate African-Americans to Quebec.

This sort of tripe should be dismissed out of hand. In the spirit of evenhandedness and fair play, however, I feel it my duty to explain why I’m going to vote Democrat…………………….

Cap and Tax not Cap and trade By Jessi

Jessi writes………

No matter where you go you can’t help but get caught up in the Global Warming issue. Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner spoke Monday morning at the “Center-Right Coalition” meeting in Madison about the newest trend, Cap and Trade, or as he likes to put it “Cap and Tax”.

Message from Sensenbrenner: Get involved in this issue. He states that “Cap and Tax” is just another tax and will raise energy prices, and will destroy our economy. More so if Bush’s tax cuts don’t stick we could lead ourselves right into a recession. Basica1ly the devil is in the details read on…….

Common sense should tell us that good policies produce more in benefits than they cost us. Unfortunately, common sense has left the building when it comes to climate policy. Asserting (somewhat absurdly) that America’s economic and geopolitical competitors, such as China and India, are just waiting for “U.S. moral leadership,” several voices are renewing their call for domestic cap-and-trade legislation to control greenhouse gases.

But cap-and-trade schemes are fundamentally flawed, and particularly ill-suited to greenhouse gas control. The current poster child for cap and trade is the Warner-Lieberman Climate Security Act of 2007 (S. 2191). If enacted, Warner-Lieberman will cause economic harm without producing any environmental or climate-protective benefits. This is the hallmark of irrational policy.

My father

Jessi writes……

I normally will not write personal entries but on this Father’s Day I felt the need to. As I recall my late father Russell Olson I have very many fond memories. My father was a caring, compassionate, hard working, great father and husband, and God fearing man. He raised his children to be honest, worthy, and true to who they are. Now this was no easy task having raised 10 of us. He raised engineers, medical assistants, electrician, insurance specialist, medical equipment specialist, teacher, and a MBA. He also taught them how to be great mothers and fathers themselves, having successful children of there own. What he didn’t raise was children who murdered, stole, sold drugs, harmed others, or involved themselves in gang activity. Having come from a very large family our father was the key to keeping us all united, worthy, and respectable. Being the youngest of this family I am very proud to call myself a Olson. I am proud to be part of this family who remains honorable and true to Russell Olson’s values. I remember my father on this day and miss this great man.

Windfall tax for oil companies

Jessi writes………..

Ok America listen up……if you think the proposed tax on big oil will not impact you and will help gas prices you are drinking the funny Kool-Aid.  As we can see with the rising gas prices almost every aspect of our lives are impacted, raising costs of food, merchandise and eating out in restaurants, also to include our change in plans with vacations and basic travel!   We see this impact everyday! Now if the oil companies have yet another tax or cost how do you expect it not to impact the cost of fuel.  Like they say it all rolls down hill, and we are the little guy at the bottom. This is basic economics.  MORE TAX MEANS HIGHER PRICES NOT LOWER LIKE THE LIBERALS/DEMS WOULD LIKE YOU TO BELIEVE!

Glad Bush is still around

Current Events
Glad Bush Is Still Around

Paul Johnson 05.05.08, 12:00 AM ET Forbes

I don’t regard George W. Bush as a lame-duck president. Between now and next January all sorts of challenging and unexpected events may take place. We can rely on President Bush to react promptly and decisively to them.

We saw this on Sept. 11. The President was as surprised as everyone else, as we grasped from the dramatic photograph of him taken as he was given the dreadful news at an elementary school. But he buckled down quickly to this unprecedented attack on America, determined that such a treacherous outrage should never occur again.

Nor has it. It is worth inquiring why. There is no doubt that attacking the American homeland remains the prime objective of Muslim fundamentalist leaders. Yet they have not done so. One reason for this is the success of Mr. Bush’s team in learning the lessons of Sept. 11 and building a security system of impressive strength and sensitivity. It has yet to be breached. Also, the suicide bombers fear being sent to Guantánamo more than they fear death itself. It is right that the prime defender of democracy and freedom should strike terror into the hearts of terrorists.

Brilliant Maneuver

Equally, if not more important, is the way in which Mr. Bush–partly by accident but mainly by design–has switched the war’s theater of operations to the death-dealers’ territory. At the time of Sept. 11 the battlefield was the undefended West, with its great, peaceful cities. The civilian population was exposed to mass murder at the hands of carefully trained and well-equipped fanatics. Now, thanks to the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan– which were achieved at relatively minor cost–the battlefield has been decisively switched to the Muslim heartlands. And in the Middle East the war is being waged against the fundamentalists by the highly trained and superbly equipped professional armed forces of the U.S., Britain and other nations. The results of this are reflected in the casualty figures.

It’s true that more than 4,000 U.S. servicemen and -women have been killed in this five-year conflict. But considering the extent of the operations, the importance of the war and the threat to the U.S. populace posed by these terrorists, this total is small. In World War I up to 60,000 casualties were inflicted in a single day. And there were many occasions during World War II when the U.S. and Britain lost more than 4,000 men in a one-day operation.

On the other hand, the number of Muslim fanatics who have been killed by the Allies in their operations or who have killed each other in Sunni-Shia clashes must be reckoned in the hundreds of thousands. We shall never know the true tally, but it is plainly enormous.

Each of those terrorists was capable of inflicting huge losses on the civilian populations of the West. To dispose of them, one by one, in the West is extremely difficult and expensive. In the Middle East, however, they congregate and can be killed more easily and in large numbers by Western firepower. Moreover, the fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan has attracted most of the bravest and most determined of the fundamentalists. They have swarmed there from all over the world–not least from Western cities–to achieve (as they believe) martyrdom, to fight and be killed. We must remember that every extremist killed in the suburbs of Basra or Baghdad or in the hills around Kabul or Kandahar means scores, perhaps hundreds, of Western civilian lives saved.

Clearly mistakes have been made in this war, some of them serious. Intelligence has been faulty. But then those of us who have served in our countries’ armed forces know that it always is. It’s far better for America’s President to react swiftly to intelligence reports of weapons of mass destruction being in the hands of his nation’s dedicated enemies than to ignore the warnings and risk such weapons being used against the U.S. and the West.

Mr. Bush was right to adopt a no-risk policy, accepting the partisan criticism of his party’s political opponents. This is what a President does in his capacity as Commander in Chief. Indeed, no President worthy of the office could have decided otherwise.

Looking back over the last few years, I find it hard to fault Mr. Bush on any major point. He has always been brave. He has never shown the slightest fear of unpopularity, putting the needs of the nation before his political fortunes. He has shown himself ready at all times to make big, risky and venturesome decisions, being persuaded they were in the U.S.’ (and the West’s) interests, and then sticking to them. Indeed, if there’s one thing that exceeds Mr. Bush’s courage, it’s his resolution, his pertinacity, his steadfast consistency.

He is a leader who will not give way to threats, criticisms and abuse, a man of valor when times are hard. In this election year, when the Constitution demands that he must give way to another President, I salute him and applaud his conduct of affairs.

Some may call President Bush obstinate; others may say, with some reason, that he is not skilled in explaining his policies. But I insist that beneath it all he has been a heroic leader in a time of testing, and I am glad that he will still be in charge for the rest of this year.

May his successor show the same dauntless determination.

Peter Theron responds to Tammy Baldwin

In her June 11 email newsletter Tammy Baldwin writes:

    Pain at the Pump
Rising gas prices in Wisconsin and around the
country have reached the point where they are
    severely straining family pocketbooks and
    impinging on vital services. Temporarily
suspending the federal gas tax is a short-sighted
measure that sounds good, but offers little relief.

Congress overrode a presidential veto and voted
to temporarily suspend shipments to our
strategic petroleum reserve. The President and
Vice-President are well-versed in, and well-
connected to, big oil. No two leaders are better
positioned to take bold and immediate actions to
reduce the price of gas. I call on the President
and Vice-President to bring pressure to bear on
our oil producing allies to increase production and
support a windfall tax on oil companies that are
    reaping exorbitant profits.
    …

According to House Republicans suspending the federal gas will lower
the pump price by $.18, while suspending the strategic petroleum
reserve shipments will lower the pump price by only $.05 . Clearly it
is the suspending of reserve shipments that offers little relief.

Liberals are always saying that the United States should lead the
world by example. So, if we want the world to increase its production
of oil, then according to the liberal view, we should increase our
own production. Thus far Tammy Baldwin has voted against every
attempt to increase domestic oil production.

According to the American Petroleum Institute in January 2008,
Wisconsin’s fuel taxes averaged 51.3 cents per gallon on gasoline and
57.3 cents per gallon on diesel. The average oil company profit is
8.1 cents per dollar of sales. At $4 a gallon, this means the oil
company makes 32.4 cents per gallon of fuel. Comparing 51.3 to 32.4
highlights that it is the government, not the oil companies, that are
reaping exorbitant profits. We cannot tax ourselves to prosperity.

The correct response to our current pain at the pump is “Drill here.
Drill now.”
