What the heck is this???????

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., speaks during a meeting of Democratic Governors at the Chicago History Museum in Chicago Friday, June 20, 2008. A new seal debuted on Obama’s podium Friday, sporting iconography used in the U.S. presidential seal, the blue background, the eagle clutching arrows on left and olive branch on right, but with symbolic differences. Instead of the Latin ‘E pluribus unum’ (Out of many, one), Obama’s says ‘Vero possumus’, rough Latin for ‘Yes, we can.’ Instead of ‘Seal of the President of the United States’, Obama’s Web site address is listed. And instead of a shield, Obama’s eagle wears his ‘O’ campaign logo with a rising sun representing hope ahead.(AP Photo/Alex Brandon)

The link shows similar seals that are used by the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s Republican Presidential Task Force, Republican Senatorial Inner Circle, and Republican Presidential Roundtable.

  4. yeah, ok, nutcase observer.

i notice they dont replace the stars and stripes with the logo of the candidate.
    or
replace “e pluribus unum” with something about opossums.
out of many, one is bringing people together. not anything is possible.
because by that, he means: everything HE wants is possible, not what i want.

still Unreal…’s last blog post..“A mess” you say?

So I am a ntucase for pointing out Obama isn’t the only one who has used a variation of the Seal for another/political purpose?

What level of changing the seal is okay then? If Obama would have left the stars and stripes and “e pluribus” on there with his other changes, he wouldn’t be criticized by you? I’m guessing not.

You probably think I am an Obama supporter. I am not. I’m just pointing out these silly criticisms that get people like you all worked up. Then the hpyocricy of it all when you criticize one and not the other.
