Lets talk about the differences during this debate. Even though it was not the traditional debate it still showed the major differences between the Jr. Senator Obama and John McCain.

The first thing I found very interesting was the question Rick Warren asked, who are three wise people that you would as president rely on? Obama mentioned Michelle and his Grandmother first then a series of politicians such as Teddy Kennedy. And John McCain mentioned Petraeus first which got an applause right off the bat, next he mentioned John Lewis a democrat which shows his ability to cross the party lines which he didn’t need to do, we all know he crosses the party line. And last Meg Whitman who was one of the founders of Ebay. Now here is my question-what cabinet is Obama’s Grandmother going to head up?

Next is the abortion issue, Obama stated he was pro choice, and that when a baby has rights is “above his pay grade”. What???!! Now when McCain was asked he very proudly stated he was pro life and a babies rights start at conception. Now I have stated in this blog that you can not be a Christian and be pro choice. I stand by this statement. Please see post: http://wakeupamerica.blogivists.com/2008/08/13/jessi-kudos-to-local-superhero-vicki-mckenna/ this post is very important in the Jr. Senators stance on abortion and partial birth abortion. He voted against a measure that provides health care to aborted babies that live. As Vicki stated if you think that a baby who lives after an abortion should not get all medical attention you are “going to hell”.

Next when asked about who would they not have voted for for Supreme court. Obama answer very interesting admitted to Clarence Thomas, Scalia, and Roberts. Now if you think that it is not important to get involved in this race think of what type of justices he will vote in. Just think about that. Now when John McCain was asked the same question he stated Ginsburg, Souter, and Stevens. It is worth mentioning that Obama mentioned that Clarence Thomas has little judicial experience. Ok Obama who are you to talk about experience?

Next Rick Warren asked about taxes. Obama said $150,00 and lower is middle class and would see a tax cut. Hmmmm how is that? He wants to raise taxes and all sorts of forms. 2/3rds of voters will be impacted by his raised tax idea on capital gains alone. That is you and me “folks”. McCain stated we all need tax cuts and now is no time for any tax increases in any forms. See Http://www.taxfoundation.org/candidates08/compare/

Evil was a basic question also asked about. Rick Warren asked if it existed and should we defeat it, ignore it, or contain it. McCain very decisively stated defeat it! Talking specifically that he will do everything in his power to get Osama Bin Laden. Also mentioning radical Islamic evil, and that he needs to defeat this evil. Now Obama on the other hand was a bit more hard to follow with this answer now he did mention Darfur and blamed America for having lots of evil in it. He mentioned that evil does exist and that we as humans need to be humble when talking about it. My point here is Obama: get a set of balls! Just like his wishy washy response to the Georgia/Russia problem he is not a strong candidate when it comes to evil. Evil is what killed thousands of Americans on 9/11, a president should be decisive on the subject of evil in our current world of radical Islam.

While watching this two hour debate I noticed lots of stuff. First McCain got way more applause than Obama. I think McCain was way more easier to believe. Obama was calculated and smooth. As my mom says he is a smooth talker and American needs to see through this.

One other cool thing is when John McCain told his Cross story they panned over to Cindy McCain and even though she has heard this story several times she still shed some tears. See the You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WTu7drLfRc and http://blogs.unionleader.com/andrew-cline/?p=1026

If you get a chance somehow watch this spot it really shows the differences between the candidates.

Wake up America the Jr. Senator is no Christian!
